Homeowners are people who live in their own accommodation. They have a spare bedroom and are happy to share other areas of their home such as the kitchen and the bathroom. Homeowners are often older adults or people with longer term health conditions looking for some support with everyday tasks.

In return for 10 hours a week of assistance with cleaning, cooking, shopping or companionship, Homesharers can enjoy rent free accommodation with our homeowners. (Contribution to household bills is split between both parties). Homesharers do not provide any personal care (such as medication administration or showering), they merely support with everyday tasks which are agreed during the matching process. 

Homesharing is a cost effective way to support adults to live independently in their own homes and provide low cost and well maintained accommodation for homesharers.

Homeshare Leicestershire will support you through every stage of your homeshare. We assist with the matching process of homesharers and homeowners, complete DBS checks and references and support both parties throughout the arrangement to ensure everyone making the most out of the experience.
