THE HomeShare is a social enterprise.
SHS THE HomeShare CLG: 608452
THE Homeshare is an Irish owned company based in Dublin. THE HomeShare has worked closely with hundreds of families to support them through their Homeshare journeys. Our CEO works closely with government departments and policy makers and we are delighted our efforts have resulted in HomeSharing being incorporated into National Policy, making Ireland the first country in the world to do so.
Our Householders can be anyone who wishes to remain living in their own homes but who may require a helping hand, company and the peace of mind and security of another person living with them. The average age of our Householders is 86 years, although we do support younger people who may be living with a disability.
Our Sharers are usually professional people seeking affordable accommodation so they can save for a deposit to buy their own home one day. The average age of our sharers is about 40 years and we have a minimum age policy of 21 years.
MISSION STATEMENT
To create positive homesharing experiences between older and younger adults in Ireland, that inspires mutually beneficial social and practical supports and empowers independent living.
VISION
For homesharing to become a lifestyle choice that enhances positive ageing and develops deep intergenerational social ties.
