Oranga Intergenerational Homesharing is an inter-generational co-living programme in Lisbon, Portugal, focused on creating a supportive and mutually enriching environment where two people share the wisdom of their generation in today's society. Connecting generations, co-creating homes.
Before the match: we carefully curate our candidates, assisting as much as possible in enhancing their applications so no one is left out.
During: we provide workshops to empower our participants, we initially visit weekly and later as required, we are available 24/24h for any unforeseen event.
After: we ensure we measure our impact with the cooperation of our participants, aiming to support the following step in the participant’s life, whenever at our reach, mobilizing our partnerships.
Hosts may request support such as :
> financial contribution for utility bills
> help carrying heavy items, housekeeping, running simple errands
> company at home and outdoors, for a walk, sports and cultural events
Hosts are :
- Above 65 years old (flexible)
- Motivated to homeshare for solidarity
- Independent in most Activities of Daily Life inc self-care
- No significative cognitive impairment
- Flexible and proactive
- Owner or authorized by the owner to provide a room
Guests are:
- 18 - 35 years old (flexible)
- Motivated to homeshare for solidarity
- Willing to learn at the provided workshops
- Student / Worker / Student-Worker
- Flexible and proactive
